This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class is filled with amazing kindergarten, first, and second graders from the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. We are a 12:1:1 class that has students in the Special Education program who have Individualized Education Programs.
Unfortunately, our students have not been able to be in the physical classroom since March 13th due to COVID-19.
Since then, we have been participating in virtual learning consisting of live teaching on video platforms and online assignments completed on virtual platforms. Some of our students have difficulty accessing these various technology platforms. Many families prefer to utilize materials that these young students are more comfortable with, such as worksheets and packets. Your donation will help us have access to various assignments that can be sent to students while they continue to complete school at their homes.
My Project
Our students have been completing virtual learning since March 13th due to COVID-19. Some families are having a challenging time accessing the different forms of technology that are required for learning at home. Many families prefer to utilize materials that these young students are more comfortable with, such as worksheets and packets.
Your donation will help us have access to various assignments that can be sent to students while they continue to complete school in their homes.
This gift card will help buy assignments that can be used to further the students' learning throughout the summer and possibly into the 2020-2021 school year if they do not return to the physical classroom. This way, we can ensure that learning is continuing at home.
