Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come into my classroom every day with obstacles that I may not even know about because they are hidden away. This does not stop them from overcoming adversity and being successful in the classroom. That is just one thing I love about them. They have so much that could be holding them back, but they don't let it.
Perseverance, determination, and hard work all come together to help my students overcome daily obstacles in their lives.
As a community, we have the ability to help. They strive daily to be their best, to be better than they were yesterday, and that means the world to me.
As a teacher, I do my best to provide them with multiple opportunities to learn, test their learning, and grow. These are opportunities that they may never have had before, but I give them that chance at success. My students are unique in their personalities, learning, and daily lives. Their learning experiences should be targeted towards their unique qualities.
My Project
This project is a little different than any others I have put together. The purpose behind the gift cards to Teachers Pay Teachers is to be able to purchase multicultural activities and resources to implement into my classroom.
I feel it is my responsibility as a teacher to share about the world around us with my students, through learning about various cultures.
We live in a world filled with diverse cultures that I feel students need a better understanding of.
As a teacher, I believe that when we know more about something, it gives us a better understanding of the world around us. Learning about a variety of cultures around the world, I feel will benefit my students for years to come.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
