This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember how exciting it was to learn about different and exciting places around the world? My students love to learn about new places.
My students are eager 1st and 2nd graders who love to learn about new places.
They are intrigued by all the wonders of the world. However, we do not have a map or globe in our classroom. It is important for them to learn geographic relations to help them better understand our world.
My Project
I am requesting a talking globe and picture books for each continent. These items will help enrich geography lessons as well as create a fun, interactive learning center for my students to continue their worldly explorations independently. With this, I also hope to inspire my students with the culture and landscapes of these far away places.
Our students are the future.
They deserve a well rounded and enriched learning experience. These materials will stimulate their interest, spark curiosity, and engage a lifelong love of learning.
