My Students
My students are energetic kindergartners to second graders diagnosed with autism. They have varying physical, communication and sensory needs that affect their concentration during instructions. My students require individualized instructional materials, individualized schedule of reinforcements, and individualized checking in schedules throughout the school day to maximize instructional time, achievement of instructional goals and objectives and to keep safe due to the scourge of the Coronavirus.
My students would be able to learn in a safer environment when instructional materials are separated, individualized and targeted towards their IEP (individualized Educational Plan) goals.
I would like to buy a variety of back to school materials that would enable me create individualized bins for instructional materials for each of my students. These would be used for both onsite and remote learning. These sensory toys, noise canceling headphones, laminating sheets, Velcro etc. will provide my students with personalized items for learning and space to socially distance while also maximizing instructional time both remotely and at home. These will assist my students in achieving their IEP goals at the end of the school year.
My Project
I am requesting back to school and remote learning materials to enable my students learn. These items would be separated and individualized for each student to help maintain social distancing while in the classroom. I am requesting school supplies, bins, noise cancelling headphones, and sensory materials they could utilize both at home and in the classroom to make learning less daunting and stressful.
My students' disabilities impede their learning and thus, they require familiar and individualized materials and tools to accomplish their educational goals in a safe manner.
My students are currently engaging in remote learning but may be returning to school come this September. Since we would be going back to school for blended learning, I would want them to still keep safe in the classroom while also gaining academic and life skills. My students need individualized and personalized instructional materials like basic school supplies, headphones, sensory toys, bins, laminating sheets, and velcro to help them achieve these goals.
