Help me give my students a better at-home learning experience with materials that I can use to create better visuals and individual printed activity packages.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students and their parents are currently facing an unprecedented challenge while juggling other responsibilities and dealing with other difficulties simultaneously. Teaching and learning at home while lacking appropriate resources including technology, materials, manipulatives, and even time can be very difficult.
All of my students rely 100% on their parents to continue learning while following an age-appropriate curriculum, hence why providing parents with resources and printed materials to support learning at home is vital.
My Project
I will utilize these materials mainly with two purposes in mind, first, to provide support to parents and students through interactive mini lessons targeting individual needs for students while modeling for the parent how to help their student complete activities at home. Second, to prepare packages of printed and interactive activities that follow our curriculum and support learning standards at a differentiated level.
My goal is to assist parents and guide them through the curriculum by showing them how to do activities at home and to provide those activities as well as to review concepts with students at an individualized level.
