Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a teacher of the deaf for students who come from low income families, I strive to give my students access to learning topics through different medians! My students are all hearing impaired and learn with mostly visual support through the use of technology (I.e videos / medias / songs / interactive games and lessons). By supporting this project you will be giving 15 different children the opportunity to use technology to support their learning styles as individuals with deafness/hearing impairments.
This project will support the students in achieving their learning goals for speaking, listening, and literacy.
It will also assist our English Language Learners with access to translated learning materials!
Many of my students have little to no language access and as well as access to technology in their homes as they come from low income families. These technology materials will allow students to experience the world through technology, which many of them do not have the opportunity to do in their homes.
