This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A MacBook Pro will allow my students to enhance their learning of a new computer platform, as well as create, present, and share their projects.

Computers are used every day in classrooms and I want my students to be able to compete in the 21st century.

Students learn through listening, seeing, and doing. A Mac book Pro would allow me to provide instruction to my in-person and virtual learners. My students will be able to create and share their projects online. In a world where everything is online, students are creating more digital projects, videos, soundscapes and more. Providing them with this type of technology could allow them to really engage in our Fine Arts Magnet Program at the school.

Students would also use the Macbook Pro to watch interactive demos and models, as well as in small group instruction. Many of our science demos include interactive 3D models. The chromebooks simply do not have enough processing power to immerse the students into the model or video. Students could also connect these to our schools 3D printers which can help engage them in a stem project.
