My Project
The materials being requested will help make various holidays and celebrations more memorable for my students. There are a few fun items for research projects celebrating both Black History Month and Women's History Month. I am also requesting items that can be wonderful ways to remember the fun times had in first grade. For example, after reading and learning more about Chinese New Year's, the students will receive Chinese celebration mementos to keep.
This is a two-part project idea to help make learning even more special and memorable this school year.
The second half will help celebrate Read Across America Week, Black History Month, the 100th Day of School, and more. This project is primarily helping us celebrate the winter holidays and other special events. Through this project students will be able to make winter holiday crafts, complete special crafts to go with research writing pieces, as well as have more fun with Chinese New Year through the special trinkets selected such as necklaces and bookmarks to be given out after we learn about this special holiday. It will make our learning cross curricular! Students will get to show their knowledge and earn incentives for their hard work as a result! We are a PBIS school, so these would be great things for the kids to earn. With these supplies being incorporated into upcoming lessons, I am sure that my students will have an unforgettable year in first grade. Please help me support my students' education. They deserve every opportunity that life can offer them. All of these items being requested will enhance our upcoming curriculum, as well as give students items to remember the content in a more meaningful way that we wouldn't otherwise be able to provide.
