This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I believe that teaching financial literacy early is critical for equipping students with the knowledge and skills they need to make sound financial decisions as they grow. My students in my inclusion class would benefit from learning about financial literacy with a hands-on approach in using a cash register and financial literacy flash cards.

I aim to provide my students with a cash register and financial literacy flashcards that would aid in their understanding of the American currency through financial literacy.

I aim to integrate financial education into my teaching by covering topics such as saving, budgeting, understanding money, and basic financial concepts. I am interested in engaging, age-appropriate materials such as the cash register and interactive activities that would resonate with elementary-aged children.

Financial literacy is an essential skill, and I am committed to helping my students build a strong foundation early in their education.
