Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a first-grade teacher of English Language Learners. My students come from different cultural and educational backgrounds. They all bring into the classroom their rich, cultural experiences.
In my bilingual class, I have to teach and ensure that all my students learn all subjects, including reading, writing, math, and science.
My students are at-risk and come from high poverty. Therefore, due to their limitations, my students need additional resources to be able to learn and succeed.
My Project
My students are at risk and in high poverty. My students have many limitations and need additional resources to learn and succeed.
Every student in the school is expected to master different science objectives.
Therefore, I have to teach my students these objectives by using different science materials and resources. Unfortunately, it isn’t easy to find meaningful science resources that will support my student's learning. However, with these scholastic news magazines, my students will learn many scientific facts and information. They will be able to learn science through images, videos, and text.
