Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m writing to ask for your support in providing resources that will help make a lasting impact on the students in my classroom. As a teacher, I’m constantly seeking creative ways to make learning fun and engaging. With your help, I can bring a variety of materials into the classroom that will not only support my students’ academic growth but also nurture their creativity and curiosity.

One of the areas we focus on is community helpers, and I would love to have a collection of books that teach students about the important people who keep our communities running.

From doctors to firefighters, these books will help my students understand the world around them in a meaningful way. Additionally, the Q and U wedding books would be a fun and interactive way to reinforce phonics and letter recognition. My students love when we can make learning playful, and these books would do just that!

I’d also love to add more Dr. Seuss books to our classroom library. Dr. Seuss’s fun rhymes and illustrations inspire a love of reading, and I know my students would benefit from having more of his books available to them. Along with the books, some Dr. Seuss-themed classroom décor would help create a lively, inspiring learning environment.

Another item we would greatly appreciate is Play-Doh. It’s a fantastic tool for building fine motor skills while also encouraging creativity. The students love using it for art and hands-on learning activities.

Lastly, we need basic school supplies such as pencils, markers, and notebooks to ensure every student has what they need to succeed.
