My Project
The items that I am requesting are highly needed in my classroom in order to enrich my students' social, emotional, and mental well-being, and to further accelerate their academic learning and development. My goals for this project are to provide my students with the materials they need in order to grow academically. The resources that I am requesting will map to the following CSDE ESSER priorities:
* Learning Acceleration, Academic Renewal, and Student Enrichment
* Social, Emotional, & Mental Health of Students & School Staff
These materials that I am requesting will make a difference by providing students materials that they need throughout the learning day. Some of the materials I requested are for their Social Emotional Learning bin. This bin allows students materials to help them out of sticky thoughts and allows them to calm down before coming back to the rug for further instruction. These specific materials are; the magnet tiles, brain flakes, and the fidgets from the party favor supply.
I also requested items for academic learning acceleration, such as the magnetic letter tiles which will allow students to spell by using phonics instruction. Another tool that I requested for phonics are then LCD writing tablets. These will help eliminate the waste of paper and ensure that students are engaged while learning how to spell new words!
As for classroom academic renewal, I requested a Flagship Smiley Rug, so that when I ask my students to take a seat on our classroom rug my students will have a specific spot to sit on and this will eliminate time being wasted by having students move around so that everyone has personal space on the rug for learning.
