My Students

Our school is located in a small community. With more than 85% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch, it's hard not to spend my own money for classroom items.

My students are sweet, caring kids.

They love to learn and light up my day with their smiles! My students love to learn new things, share their ideas with each other, and even teach each other.

My students make me proud to be a teacher with all of their hard work and dedication.

My Project

Students in the 3rd grade often have a hard time fitting in. As a teacher, I find myself constantly reminding them to be true to themselves and to their classmates. We discuss tolerance and compassion in depth.

The books listed in this project will help me teach my wonderful students all about having tolerance for students that may be different from them.

It is important that students know it is okay to be different and to accept those that are different. I have added a wide variety of books that discuss tolerance and compassion. The various levels of books will ensure that each of my students can read and comprehend the books on their own.
