My students come to school hungry, not only for the food we put in their bellies, but the knowledge we give them as well.
My children are fabulous Kindergarteners (almost 1st graders)!
They have learned so much already this year! I cannot believe their progress. But the year is not over yet! This project would be a great way to end the year on a high note and give their creative minds a great project!
My Project
My students currently do not have art. The only way they are exposed to art is by the projects we do in the classroom. I believe in empowering students through art. That is why I have created this project. We are going to be doing a unit on animals. I would love for them to be able to research any animal they want with the iPads. Once they have done the research they will be able to write a short paper, and then create the animal in two ways. By painting it themselves with the paint and construction paper. Also by making a 3D version of their animal with the Twisteez.
By donating to this project you will be providing my students with a creative and inventive way to do a research project.
Most of us remember research projects being boring... Reading books, writing long papers, and maybe sometimes creating small dioramas, where everything fell down once we got the thing to school. :-) This project would be a fun hands-on way for my students to learn about animals they might never see in real life.
