My Students
Our first grade is full of motivated, exciting, lovable students who have taken on the challenges of the rigorous first grade instruction. After a year of remote learning, we are excited to get back into the classroom and go on the journey of becoming lifelong learners.
Every morning each of my students greet me with an enthusiastic smile ready to face the challenges of the day.
My Project
Using Time for Kids help enhance our curriculum. The magazines are well written, have wonderful pictures, and provide a different type of reading that is exciting to the first graders. We do a unit of study each year in nonfiction reading and writing, but by using the magazines - the students are able to continue the nonfiction reading work throughout the school year. The digital resources provided by Time for Kids also help bring the information to life and provide the background knowledge for the article. My students look forward to getting their new magazine each week.
