Learning about the Holocaust through Elie Wiesel's Autobiography

My Project
Our students study the Holocaust during the last quarter of their 8th grade year. Students read the play, The Diary of Anne Frank as their mentor text. Students select another text to read on their own throughout the unit. We would like to add Night to the options for students to read independently during our Holocaust unit. This book will allow students to experience these horrific events through the voice and memories of a survivor, Elie Wiesel, of two camps, Auschwitz and Buchenwald. This project would provide students with copies of Night.
