My Project
Our students will be doing a unit on Perseverance in their special education language arts classes. We are writing the unit for our students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classes as a collaboration between the teachers. In the unit students will read or listen to the novel The Breadwinner. They will use the novel Breadwinner as the mentor text for the unit. Some students will need a shorter variation of the story through the graphic novel while others can complete the novel using the written text. This project will provide books to our students to use during this unit.
