My Students
My second graders come to school full of energy and ready to conquer the world. My job is to keep them motivated and to develop critical thinkers. Each child learns differently, and part of my job is to find out how to reach them. Some are visual learners, some are auditory learners and some learn by hands-on activities. We need to figure out how to reach all learners. My students are sweet and eager to learn. They are motivated and want to be successful students. They just need the opportunity.
My Project
My students are learning about the human body. It is hard for them to make the jump from abstract to concrete thought. They need to be able to see models of organs inside the body. This will help us visualize and learn how the human body works. They will be able to see the inside of organs such as the human heart. It will help them see how each organ operates and becomes a part of the human body. The books will be used to give background information which will make the human body able to function properly in our world.
