Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have four major units they tackle each year. One of them being "Levitating Forces" (Energy). We discuss many things in the unit and one is Magnetism. It is usually a pretty uninteresting part as there is not lots to do with magnets.
The opportunity to have these interactive games with Magnetic Chess will help student gain a better understanding of the power of magnets.
I am excited to see students make connections with the game and with their unit of study as they interact with these games. The learning will be so magnetic, they will have a hard time not being attracted to learning.
