Hello from South Carolina! I am a kindergarten teacher and I currently have 20 students in my class. I am excited about the new school year and can't wait for my students to start learning LOTS of new things. Unfortunately, budget cuts are making it very difficult for me to provide the necessary learning tools for my students. That's why I need your help!
Many of my students are new to the school setting and I want to make a good first impression. I believe this can be done with lots of hands-on activities. These activities can have a lasting effect on a five year old who is eager to learn. This year, I would like to make an impact on the children as well as the environment. I believe teaching water conservation in kindergarten is the perfect way to help the environment. Beginning early will give my students a greater appreciation for the Earth and its many treasures.
My children love to listen to read-alouds and music so my clean water project focuses on many different books and songs. Since we live on a planet that is mostly covered with water, I want them to understand water's flow, basic appearance, and the effect of water on objects. I want them to ask questions about the environment and understand the importance of conserving and protecting water for the future. I also want them to understand the importance of clean water and the impact that it has on their lives and well as the animals' lives that we share our planet with. The music will provide an engaging and fun time of sharing and learning. The upbeat, lively songs will entertain and teach the children about erosion and runoff. I believe this clean water unit is worthwhile and needs to be taught in my classroom. That's why I need your help!
You can truly make a difference and have an impact on the lives of my students and the well being of our planet Earth. Please consider my proposal and make a donation. Thanks so much for you generosity.
