Learners + School Supplies = Successful Remote Learning

Help me give my students school supplies to make their remote learning experience a successful and fun time where they can become very creative aided by the tools provided for them.

My Students

Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, we are experiencing throughout the world, my students and I had no choice but to embark on Remote Learning. Remote Learning is a process that we were not adequately prepared or equipped for. Our school is a Title I school; most of our students live in shelters, foster, or single-parent homes. We are currently experiencing lots of challenges like many students without devices, or have internet issues. It pains me when I assign an activity which is often meant for students to enjoy doing independently or with family and they respond that they are unable to complete it because they do not have the required materials.

My Project

My fifth-grade special education students and I bid hasty goodbyes in March, not realizing we wouldn't be back in school for the rest of the year. My students are struggling during lessons because they don't have the right tools to participate in activities.

We just started an art program- Studio in a School.

My students love it but they don't have the right materials. I was moved to see them try to make collages last week, without glue and colored paper.

These supplies, like markers, paper, pencils, and glue along with coloring books will motivate and engage students now.
