My Students

We are located in a neighborhood where a large amount of students walk to school from a public housing complex. Our school is a Title I school. My wonderful students are from varied economic backgrounds and family dynamics. Some of the students receive special services, some are raised by grandparents, and some need extra love and care. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch through the National School Lunch Program, and they all deserve a safe learning environment.

My wonderful, flexible, resilient, and multi-tiered group of students are in need of technology resources to help them advance in their academic endeavors.

My Project

The use of technology in my classroom is a must! With the wonderful resources, like iReady, IXM, Accelerated Reading, and other educational programs, students are given the opportunities to expand their knowledge. The students enjoy learning through these platforms, and they use them on a daily basis. However, some students do not have earbuds. The earbuds will not only help the individual student stay focused, but they will eliminate distractions while other students are completing their online assignments and interactive educational games used to reinforce a standard.

The LCD Writing Tablets will provide students with an innovative way to present their work while encouraging writing in the classroom.
