Learn While Snacking

Help me give my students snacks during the day. We are a title I school . my 24 students rely on a snack daily to keep them learning and not hungry. Thank you.

My Project

I teach a kindergarten title I class with varied students from average to low to autistic and foreign language. We have a proximately 24 students, sometimes they come and go, who rely on my daily snack, to keep them from getting hungry and able to concentrate until the end of the day, which is after 4 o’clock at our school. The children eat breakfast and then unfortunately go to an early lunch usually about 1130 so by the time they have activities or the day goes on and they did not like their lunch they are very hungry and I provide a snack around 2 o’clock to carry them through the rest of the day. Although asked parents are unable or do not send in a snack for the child therefore, I’ll provide daily snacks, because I cannot watch a five year old be hungry. Learning and having a snack at the same time is a great way to keep them focused and happy and satisfied until they go home.
