Help me give my students reading books at their reading level so that they can foster their love of reading. These books will reflect who they are, what they like and expose them to empathy and kindness.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
With the resources given, we try to provide our students with the best educational experiences inside the classroom. But as we all know, it is a struggle to provide students with diverse needs with the educational materials that meet their various stages of learning. The key is to give them access to various types of reading books that will pique their interests and engage them in reading for pleasure and interest.
Being a Title I school in the Bronx, where 99 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch, our students have diverse needs and have very limited access to reading material at home to further their love of reading.
Our students deserve the opportunity to enjoy reading for pleasure and interests and read materials at their learning level.
My Project
These books will enhance the print-rich classroom that I am trying to create. I want my classroom library to be a place that my students really enjoy- they get an opportunity to read independently daily! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. This project will enrich their experiences with the printed word.
