This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing personal care items for my students will make a significant difference in their confidence, comfort, and ability to focus in the classroom. Many students come to school without access to basic hygiene products like deodorant, toothbrushes, and soap, which can affect their self-esteem and interactions with peers. By ensuring they have these essentials, we can help them feel fresh, comfortable, and ready to learn without embarrassment or distraction. My goal for this project is to create a supportive and dignified environment where students can prioritize their education without worrying about personal care needs. My students are incredible, they are hardworking, determined, and full of potential. Despite the challenges they may face outside of school, they come eager to learn, and providing them with these basic necessities will allow them to focus on their growth and success.
