Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have great imaginations and are eager to learn. As first graders, they need to be engaged in diverse ways. These materials will invite them to be creative and think critically through hands-on play. They can take their learning from the table and chair with a paper and pencil to the rug with fun and engaging manipulatives. The can build towers with Magnatiles or tinker with K'Nex Tinkertoys. They can pretend play with Pretend Professionals while practicing their social skills and collaboration.. They can also practice the core subjects areas of math with colorful domino sets or spelling with alphabet dough stampers. The materials from this project will allow my first graders to learn learn through hands on play.
