My students need 4 LeapFrog Explorers and a Bilingual Storybook Set to have a fun and interactive way to support Spanish learning in the classroom. Who said learning Spanish is boring? Lets make learning fun! Why not? Fun= better

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
DO YOU WANT TO LEARN SPANISH? My kindergarten students do! And why not support their curiosity with technology. Kids want to have FUN and learn! Why not join both? Learning a new language can be frustrating, but I will like to make it fun and attractive! Work smarter and not harder.
My kindergarten students are mainly in a poverty area and many of them do not have the means to have private education.
That is why in our charter school we do our best to give them the best! We mainly have a Hispanic population, however, we also have Arabic, African Americans, Caucasian, and other minority kids. Although we are in a Hispanic neighborhood, parents do not always speak to kids in Spanish. Parents put their kids in our school because we have a dual language program where we provide students with Spanish and English education.
As a Spanish teacher I have to look for innovative ways to capture the students attention since I am competing with their native language (English) and with an environment where English is constantly spoken. Over time kids lose interest in Spanish because is not a language they need.
My Project
I will love to be able support our dual language program in my classroom by providing LeapPads with Spanish books to capture their interest while playing. At kindergarten level kids learn through playing and that is exactly what the LeapPad offers. I would like to implement a LeapPad center where students are fully engaged in learning, reading, and having fun at the same time. Also, I will like to use this as an incentive for good behavior. And what better incentive than learning. With four LeapFrog/LeapPad Explorer educational electronic game systems and a set of six LeapFrog/ LeapPad Spanish and Bilingual StoryBooks, I can have centers and other activities to personalize instruction. The new Leappad from LeapFrog is an effective electronic game system for math, reading, and other fun and educational purposes.
My project will help to reinforce Spanish learning.
Students will see that reading Spanish can be fun and they will relate their interest of fun with Spanish and that will open the doors in my classroom to a more fun environment and a learning experience. Students will also be able to make connections through games and will allow them to have a more receptive mind towards learning a new language.
