This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Unfortunately once the coronavirus pandemic began our school scattered to find multiple resources for our students. Pre-K was not able to have access to technology so I had to be as creative as possible. I began sending home learning packets but with limited resources and funding I wasn't always able to provide my students with multiple resources for math, literacy and learning activities. With limited contact and distance learning I was able to make home made math and literacy games and only with a handful of families was able to provide IXL, Classtag, and Youtube video read a louds. With the Fall school year coming up this will be my third year teaching Pre-K and I am willing to provide as many resources and possibilities for my new Fall families.

My Project

By having access to hands-on learning materials I am going to try my best to be able to connect with my students the best way that I can. Having the materials I need to teach my students who don't always have any materials at all at home, I will be able to provide learning materials to teach. Whether it be through YouTube videos with read alouds, learning uppercase and lowercase letters, how to write them, counting, singing, and have a connection with my students with be one of the best ways possible.
