My Project
I teach some of the sweetest 2nd graders!! I teach in a low socioeconomic area, therefore, some of my students have not been exposed to many things outside of their homes. Being my first year at this school and teaching this grade, I am trying to increase my manipulatives for our learning stations.
Having more activities for my students in our learning stations will help keep my students engaged regardless of their academic levels.
Some of the resources I have requested include: STEM board games, addition and subtraction math card games, PlaySmart Dice Math-Tac-Toe, brain teasers, and puzzles.
My students walked into my classroom with a variety of learning styles. I have some students who struggle with reading, however, they have such an imagination and love to create and build things. Having more options for learning stations will help me reach my goal for all of my students, regardless of their academic levels.
