My Project
I would slowly like to add two new wobble stools for my centers table and a floor seat. Centers help the kids to practice what they're learning and become more independent as workers and learners. The kids love to move around the room to a place that's comfortable. Also, the flexible seating helps to create a positive learning environment where the kids are nurtured to be a classroom family and help each other with their work. They learn from each other.
Movement and choice help my students focus and in turn learn both academic and social skills as they're encouraged to support each other in a positive learning environment.
Flexible seating is expensive and my current bean chair is flattening. The fur bucket chairs I have are slowly ripping from frequent use and the wear and tear is a little quicker than I thought. Hopefully the floor seat will be more durable while allowing my students to be comfortable on the seats and learn from each other as well as help each other. The crayon sharpener is for the kids to use as crayons break or get flat.
