My Students
Imagine trying to teach a room full of 4- and 5-year-old students who all come from different backgrounds and experiences. In my years of teaching, I have learned to laugh and enjoy every minute of my day. My students are fun, expressive children who come from all types of social and economic backgrounds.
They love games and anything that allows them to move.
I try to plan lessons that are engaging, interactive, and hands-on to keep them interested and excited about learning.
My Project
One of our main academic goals in PreK is to learn to recognize the letters in the alphabet. We spend the majority of our school year focusing on the structure of the letters to help with recognition. We also learn to write them and to know the sounds that they make.
As a teacher, I am always looking for new hands-on ways to practice letters while keeping learning fun.
The addition of the Osmo Little Genius kits will be a great way to use technology to practice letters. I will use them during our small group time for a more one-on-one experience.
