I am a teacher in a low income/ high poverty elementary school.
Regardless of the challenges they face at home, my students enter our classroom knowing they are in a place where they are valued for the unique qualities that make them who they are.
Each year, my students bring with them very different learning styles from one another. Teaching these little ones demands mastery of differentiation on my part in order to best meet their varied learning needs. The beginning of each school year requires that I take inventory of what each of my students needs so that I may be the best teacher I can be for them.
My Project
This two-day conference, "Get Your Teach On!", is a one-of-a-kind experience for K-2 teachers. What a great way to begin the new school year!
At the conference, nationally renowned educator Deanna Jump will share her passion and enthusiasm for education as well as offer tips on differentiation and best practices to building a successful, engaging classroom.
I'm so very eager to attend this conference! I'm excited to bring back fresh teaching practices to my kindergarteners. "GET YOUR TEACH ON!" will empower me to create differentiated lessons that will challenge my students and leave them hungry for more. Fresh teacher = solid learning for my students!
