Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with students from Kindergarten to 5th grade who are still learning the English language while learning to read.
My students are navigating not only the language but the technology as well.
The tablets will make it easier for students I work with to be able to not worry about how to manipulate a computer but focus on their learning by using the apps available to us by our school.
As a reading specialist, a lot of the materials I currently have are more geared towards lower elementary so the games such as the match and sort literature game, language development reading comprehension center, and literature folder game from this project will allow my upper elementary students the ability to make connections to what they see in their regular classes.
