This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The ability to see versus the opportunity to try are the two sides of a coin when it comes to what about my scholars learning...Watching videos can just do so much and the more I show the more they hunger to try. My project aims to offer the chance for my scholars to learn by DOING.

Ordinary supplies and simple incentives like stickers are hard to come by at my site and these requested simple cleaning supplies and writing materials can be a huge help for my community.

Online Math games are fun however not all skills can be turned into games, hands on skills are crucial and must be explicitly taught. Hands on opportunities are important in teaching students the value of accuracy, proportionality, order and spatial reasoning.

With your kind donations, you are opening these opportunities to my scholars who crave to calculate by hand without the guilt of wasting papers, or form solids with correct measurement and apply these skills to solve for areas and perimeter. Being able to Do is the highest form of engagement in a classroom and that is what I wish to achieve with your support.
