Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Despite living in a high poverty area, my students are exploring their interests in engineering and computer science in hopes of using these skills to better their lives and improve their community. They are incredibly motivated and engaged. My students love to build, code, and experiment.

These 9th and 12th graders are the next generation of makers and innovators.

Many of them hope to go on to college and study these challenging but exciting fields. I am grateful for this chance to help them achieve their true potential.

My Project

Students in the Robotics Club have a unique opportunity to take part in their first robotics competition and compete with some of the most advanced high school robotics teams in the country. To take advantage of this rare opportunity, the Robotics Club coach must purchase basic items that will allow his students to begin training.

In robotics, it is critical that our students have the right tools in order to design and build robots from the ground up while improving their engineering skills.

With these supplies, students have a real chance to rank highly in the competition, raising their confidence and encouraging them to take their robotics studies even further.
