Help me give my students items such as white boards, markers, books, highlighters and reinforcers to help keep them motivated to learn and make learning easier at home.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have the pleasure of working with 9 amazing children on the autism spectrum. Unfortunately, due to Covid19 we are learning remotely. Remote learning is difficult for my students as they benefit more from in school learning and need many different types of supports that are difficult to provide from a distance.
My Project
Our middle school students have done a great job adjusting to this new normal but they still lack basic supplies at home that we use in our classroom to help support each of their unique learning needs. These students work hard and prior to the pandemic they were all thriving, making great progress and meeting their goals, we do not want them to loose the skills they have acquired in our time away from our school building.
The resources requested will help them complete their work.
Timers will help them keep track of time, books to read, highlighters will help them remember key facts in their books, index cards to continue their vocabulary words, legos will let them have fun while practicing following instructions just to name a few. We are looking forward to being back in our classroom in the fall. Thank you for your help.
