Help me give my students necessary supplies for the new school year. I teach in a Title I school and would love to help parents and students by taking away some financial strains.
My students come from different cultural backgrounds and from different countries. All of my students are learning English as a new language. Most of the students in our school come from low-income families, too. The expectations for the students are very high while the resources are scarce.
Besides all that, our school has been "jumping" back and forth between fully remote and blended learning.
My students need a lot of visual and auditory support to learn English, they are young learners as well. I need to come up with creative ways to engage them and to help them master English in an engaging and interesting way and meet the high expectations.
My students are very adorable, motivated, and eager to learn, and they need the right resources to help them succeed.
My Project
Most of the students in my school come from low-income families. Helping the families to buy some of the supplies will take off some of the financial burdens. The age-appropriate writing journals will help my students to learn to write and organize their writing. All children learn better when playing. The students in my classroom do not have opportunities to play at home. The alphabet game will promote the students’ learning by engaging them in an interesting activity, they will learn the English alphabet and sounds while playing with each other.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
