My Project

The building blocks will be added to our blocks center. All eight of my students have challenges with both fine and gross motor skills. Having the blocks will provide opportunities for the children to learn about science, math, problem solving, counting, adding and subtracting, and helps them build both gross and fine motor skills as they build structures.

Blocks play will also help my students to learn about spatial concepts and imagination.

As they work with their teachers, they will learn vocabulary words such as under, over, left, right, etc. Most of my students have difficulties learning to share and work together. Working together during block play will teach them teamwork and taking turns.
