Help me give my students terrariums so that they can learn hands-on about how ecosystems work.

My Project
Students will learn about the Earth's ecosystem with the use of terrariums. Most have heard of an aquarium and know how they work, but never a terrarium. Having their own terrarium where they can observe firsthand how water and light can sustain a plant can help students better understand the concept of photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
This project will also foster a sense of collaboration, an extension of lab where students are creatively building a terrarium in class that they can take home where they can record their observations daily in their notebooks to later share with the class.
Students can even share this project with their families and talk about what they have learned in class.
My students are in an Integrated Co-Teaching class with some students with disabilities. This project will really help them in a fun, interesting way. In addition to the textbook, they will have their own self-created terrarium where they can care for their plant, observe its growth while exploring nature and engaging in science.
