We are "jumping to learn" in Kindergarten! I am a teacher of 1/2 day Kindergarten in a high-needs community. Many of my students have not had a previous school experience, so they come to school lacking basic reading readiness skills.
Education in our district is moving towards small group interventions to help meet the specific needs of each student. When many of my students enter my classroom, it is the first time they have set foot in a school setting, and are unprepared for what lies ahead.
I would like to use these Leap Pads, with a variety of Leap Pad book titles, to meet the needs of my students at ALL of their levels throughout the school year. I have selected titles that will help lower students recognize letters and numbers and also titles that will allow my higher students to read at their level.
Your donation will help me ensure that I am providing another fun way for my students to learn at their level. We would be using the Leap Pads on a daily basis as part of our Literacy Center time as well as during our free Discovery time. Your donation would be much appreciated for my students as well as their families!
