Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are sweet, loving, and funny little humans that brighten up each other’s day! After being out of school for so long many of are even more eager to be back in the classroom. They are students with special needs from the South Bronx! Although they have challenges and setbacks, they also have many strengths and skills that have helped them persevere!!
My Project
My special needs 3 and 4 grade students were already behind academically. However, the pandemic really set them behind since most of them had not set foot in the classroom for 18 months. When possible they will use the program at home.
They will be using the reading program at school on their electronic devices to help them develop their reading skills.
Students will use ASD Reading, a groundbreaking online reading & writing program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I believe all students will increase reading with ASD!
