My Project

When I run into former students whom I taught Science, they seem to always bring up the memory of dissecting frogs in class. I believe many students remember this experience because it was a fun way to develop a deeper understanding of how the human body works. Providing students with the chance to develop essential Science skills through experiential learning has become a primary objective of mine as a Science teacher. By engaging in hands-on activities, students actively build their understanding of the concepts introduced to them.

The involvement in dissecting frogs fosters a deeper understanding on how body systems work and enhances information retention.

I aim to offer my students their first dissection experience and hopefully spark an interest in a future Science career.

Students will be able to connect our human body systems with the internal anatomy of a frog. They will gain firsthand insight into the complexity of organisms and their organs, discovering how these organs function similarly to human organs. Many students find it challenging to visualize the interaction of their body systems. Engaging in a hands-on dissection lab enables them to observe and physically interact with these systems in a tactile way.

This experience will enhance students' opportunities to make observations, analyze data, reason through concepts, and identify various organs. It promises not only to be an unforgettable experience but also to foster a greater respect for how their bodies function. Please assist in providing my students with a remarkably memorable dissection experience!
