Imagine reading a book, but not being able to read every word in it. This causes my students to loose interest and comprehension while reading. Leapfrog tag pens and books will allow my students the freedom to pick up a book and read it with ease.
My students are high energy first graders that love to learn.
The students in my class are all on different reading levels. My class has many Spanish speaking students that struggle with reading and need scaffolding when it comes to literacy. I teach at a Title I school, where more than half of the students receive free or reduced lunch.
My Project
The students in my classroom have started to develop a love for books. However, I have many students that are on a lower reading level or non-readers. The books that are on the lower levels are not always what the students are interested in. I think that the
3 LeapFrog Tag Learning Systems and 4 Tag books that I am requesting will allow my lower level students to develop a love for books. The students that are non-readers will be able to read a book and comprehend what they are reading.
I think that all students should have a chance to read a book that excites them and keeps them interested.
The LeapFrog pens and books will give ALL of my students the chance to love finding a book and curling up to read it.
