Leaping and Diving Into Reading on Foundations A to Z

My Project

J.K. Rowling states, "I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book." This resonates with me because it is imperative for all children to experience the magical journey and adventure that reading can take you on.

Let's inspire children to become lifelong learners and to crave reading on Foundations A to Z.

My students read on a range of different reading abilities, and they would benefit from being able to read leveled books at their level. Foundations A to Z provides students with explicit, systematic, and cumulative instruction at their fingertips. It provides students with digital and independent student practice. This program is built upon the Science of Reading that helps students build foundational skills to succeed and accelerate in reading. Students will read decodable books, and complete word study passages. This will help ESL and special needs students to read at their own independent level. I will be able to differentiate learning by reading leveled books with students in small groups in various genres.

The students will be assigned to a library of ebooks at various genres and levels and they will be able to read, listen to the books, and answer comprehension questions. I will be able to use the data to pinpoint the students’ strengths and weaknesses and the data will be used to differentiate instruction to meet all student needs. Foundations A to Z is an amazing magazine that will engage my students and teach them valuable reading comprehension strategies so that they can be successful readers and develop a lifelong love of reading. Let's leap, learn, and launch our Foundations A to Z rocket today.
