LeapFrog into Learning

My students need Leapfrog Word Whammers for phonics and headphones for word building and fluency.

My Students

My kindergarten students have just started their education. Some children have had some preschool experience and many children did not. Everything we do in class is a new and wonderful experience. They are very eager to learn.

My school is a Title 1 school in central Florida.

We have about 86% of the population that qualify for the free or reduced price lunch program. Our families are struggling to make ends meet and provide the extras for their children. My students are 5 and 6 year old children that are just beginning their school careers. They are excited to learn all about reading and math.

My Project

My students will be using the LeapFrog Word Whammers and headphones in literacy centers. I can use the Word Whammer in the abc center for children just learning the alphabet. In the phonics center, the children can learn their letter sounds. Word work center is for word building. The Word Whammer is an excellent tool for young learners and they will have fun with it too. The headphones will make using the Word Whammers quieter in a busy classroom.

Adding LeapFrog Word Whammers and headphones into my classroom will help my children learn phonics and reading skills.

Centers are a time for review and exploration. The children will enjoy learning how to build words and become fluent readers.
