My students need 4 LeapFrog Tag readers and accompanying interactive storybooks to integrate hands on technology into our classroom as they learn to read.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
It's 2025...a young man just passed an important exam! He stops and thinks about his 1st grade class and the fun he had learning to read with LeapFrog. His abilities soared as he built vocabulary, phonics, reading comprehension and fluency in that class. His world has unlimited possibilities!
My students are part of a self-contained Kindergarten to 3rd Grade class located on the East side of Los Angeles.
They have exceptional needs in areas of communication and language, listening and auditory processing, sensory processing and social skills. This is compounded by the fact that they are English language learners. They all have a love for books. They enjoy and learn from action packed visuals that combine great graphics with the educational component. My students need LeapFrog Tag readers and accompanying interactive storybooks. LeapFrog Tag readers will be used to differentiate instruction as well as engage the students with fun interactive activities designed to support their significant needs. LeapFrogs interactive technology is visually stimulating and will enhance tactile skills by having the ability to control the instrument while learning to read.
My Project
The LeapFrog Tag Reading system supplies what my students need; patient focused interactive instruction, repetition and excitement as they learn their basic math skills, letters of the alphabet and sounding out essential words. Social Skills will also be enhanced as students feel confident to share what they've learned and read with others. Their excitement can't be contained as the words leap off the page in bold delightful sounds. Their futures shine bright!
LeapFrog gives the power to touch each word, hear the correct pronunciation and imitate it; a skill needed for reading.
Your generosity will help students reach toward goals some thought impossible. The aforementioned scenario can become a reality with many similar outcomes for my students. Please help them take huge Leaps by donating to our classroom. With your help, our potential will soar and shine brighter as we Leap into our future!
