My Students
Reading is embedded into every subject I teach. I regularly hear "What's that word?" or "I can't do this!" from my students. The LeapFrog Tag Reader will assist my students in feeling successful while reading and help them become independent readers.
I have the privilege of teaching some of the most energetic and fun loving students.
I teach first grade students. Our school is a Title 1 school. Over 75% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. Since many of our families are struggling to make ends meet, their kids don't get to use technology at home because they can afford it.
My Project
LeapFrog Tag Readers are award winning and highly rated learning tools. In addition to being a great educational tool, they provide a multisensory reading experience. With the LeapFrog Tag Reader and books, my struggling students will be able to hear the story read aloud, get on demand pronunciation for individual words, listen to audio from characters and other story elements, and play fun activities that reinforce skills. My students will gain letter-sound correspondence and word recognition skills as well as become more confident readers. LeapFrog Tag Reader books will also aid my students in various learning skills such as phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking.
Reading is essential in becoming a successful person.
When learning to read, children should have fun and feel successful. The LeapFrog Tag Reader will provide my students the fun and success they need to build their confidence and love for reading as well as grant them their independence.
