Leap into Learning

My students need 2 Tag reading systems, 2 Tag spellers, and 19 Tag reading titles, including "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and "The Little Engine That Could".

This project is fully funded

I teach first grade in a high poverty Inner City. We have no budget and limited resources for our students yet are required to differentiate learning for our Inclusion students and struggling readers as well as the Gifted and talented. We started a new program in reading without any books for the students. Teachers are required to make or find their own resources.

I want to reach all my students by offering them differentiated instruction with the Tag readers. My Inclusion students will be able to hear and see the stories as they read them. Those on level will be able to read about different topics and the advanced students will be able to do research on other topics.

The Tag system will let the Inclusion students and those with vision and hearing difficulties to listen to the stories and read along. The students with speech problems will hear the correct sounds for each word and get to practice the sounds by rereading. Those on level and above will be able to use the materials as a reward, research, or practice.

You can help us meet the goal of individualization and differentiated instruction by helping us get out Tag Readers. These children have so many different problems, I am desperate for ways to help all the different levels in my class. Please help us with this much needed resource.
