This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very tech savvy for five year olds. They yearn for fast paced, fun apps to learn and grow. They are children with an awareness of the new age of technology. Hands-on is the way to go! My students will meet and surpass the common core state standards and will step up to first grade.

My students consist of both low-income, general and special education kindergartners.

They are like little sponges that are ready to absorb whatever you expose them to.

My Project

This MacBook will help save so much time to project PowerPoint lessons and many other programs like Brainpop, Reading A-Z, PBS kids and Flocabulary. We currently have an old laptop that constantly shuts down in the middle of the lesson or freezes. Many of the students get really engaged in the lesson but I lose them with all the technical difficulties. The current laptop we have only works when connected to an outlet and even then, we still struggle.

This Macbook will come in handy when I find resources for the lesson at home and then want to quickly project them from this computer.

I also think saving everything on one classroom computer will help keep my classroom materials organized.
