This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a Title I elementary school. I have a class of wonderful kindergartners, my 21 students come from different countries, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Cuba. My students come to school every day motivated to learn. However, they come to me on various levels and learning styles.
My students need shelving in different parts of the room that make accessing books easy!
We also need more books in Spanish.
In this project, I'm requesting a heavy duty no climb bookstand from Lakeshore Learning to showcase picture books, graphic novels, and chapter books to get students excited about reading. You can also find several books in Spanish and stickers which I will use to reward the children every time they read a new book.
